THE PERFECT HOME EXAMPLE JUST FOR PEBBLES:

PEBBLES 8 months BEFORE:

When she arrived shaved.   After her second day at the Groomers since she has been with us!  She is keeping her hair unmatted just great!  Thank you Bob at Barks & Bubbles for always giving us a great discount!  801-463-9780

 AFTER:

Look at this silky, beauty now! And she has been socialized with three other male small dogs she wrestles with.

PEBBLES a 5 year old purebred female Shih Tzu is very well housetrained, loving with her owner and people she knows,  a little princess, who loves to be with one little male dog that she knows and loves to run and wrestle with him, but will growl at other dogs at first,  and needs an experienced Shih Tzu  mom that will protect her  from them.  She won't let her 82 yr old foster dad out of her site, she follows him around all over the house, asks him to go potty, play with her, give her treats for tricks, and sleeps by his side.  She likes to play loving games with you and has a cute sense of humour.  She loves to do tricks like beg for treats or just to say hello.  She loves to ride on your lap in the car. She rides beautifully in the cabin on planes in a carryon bag.  Her coat is growing back smooth now. Regular weekly brushing with cornstarch is a tip a groomer gave us and is really working with her fine hair. She is spayed, vaccinated with Boosters, Bordetella and Rabies.  NO small children, or large dogs .     Thank you Patti for making Pebbles your second child.  Bud and Pebbles love to play together and are really loved.

These are the kind of homes we look for small dogs:

Too bad a relative went out got a dog out of the paper and Pebbles missed out on this great home:

We own a very nice home and have lived their for 11 years

Our home is completely fenced (every nook and cranny is sealed) I believe the fence is six foot tall
Our gates are padlocked now. The safety of our dogs are of the utmost importance to us.
We had our sweet girl Tasha Bug that was a Maltese poodle mix that we adopted from the salt lake County animal shelter in 1987 she was the love of our life. Passed away in April of 1987 of congestive heart failure. This was extremely devastating to us. In 1990 My husband found our other dog abused, dirty & stinky (hence how he got his name) and  wondering the streets on a very cold night he rescued him and brought him home. We had him groomed and we had all his shots etc. At the time the vet said he was 10 years old. He was with us for another 14 years. We just lost him on March 3, 2004. We always said of him he went from the dungeon to the palace where he lived like a king. After we lost our Tasha Bug we adopted a male shih tzu named Mario he is now 7 years old and the absolute love of our life.
Every one that knows us always say that when they come back in their next life they want to be a Dog at Mark and Judy's home. When we lost both Tasha Bug and Stinky we put obituaries in the newspaper and had memorials for them. In fact Stinky's obituary was in the Sunday paper on March 14th and his memorial will be on March 27th. Needless to say our Dogs are our lives and kids.
We do not have any Children our dogs have always been our children. We have been Married for 15 1/2 years. We are 48 and 41 years old. Our home has a doggy door to the back yard. So they have a lot of freedom. Also my husband works out of our home so he is with them a huge portion of the time. I own my own company so I have a lot of flexiblilty
We did do some crate training  when we got Mario but we prefer them to have have a run of the house.
We are very well aware of the "high Maintenance" that small dogs require especially Shih Tzu's We travel a long way to have them groomed because we are so picky about our groomer. She would give us an excellent reference as well as our vets will be happy to I know. When our dogs get even a sniffle I rush them to the doctor. Money is not an object to us we are well off financially and never spare expense where our babies are concerned.
We would absolutely welcome a visit to our home. You would see two very large family photos with our dogs placed prominently in the living room.
Pebbles looks and seems like She would fit into our home really well and our Mario really needs a new brother or sister. It is very important to us to rescue an animal rather than buy one.
